Our mental health has a huge impact on how we think, feel and behave. It affects our decision making, how we handle stress, overcome challenges and relate to others. Poor mental health can manifest in depression, anxiety, problems in relationships and other psychological issues.
Addressing these issues can help you to lead a happier, healthier and more fulfilling life.
Whether you’re struggling with problems you’ve had your whole life, or you’re simply going through a difficult time, I can provide you with professional counselling or psychotherapy for a variety of issues. Getting the right help can turn your life around and help you to achieve your goals.
I have helped clients overcome many difficulties, including:
In relationships it can be easy to get stuck in unhealthy patterns of behaviour but hard to break the habit. Relationship issues often cause great distress for those involved. Couples counselling can help you find the right way forward and hopefully avoid a breakup or divorce. However, if separating seems like the best option, therapy can help you to keep any distress you may feel during this difficult time to an absolute minimum.
If you find that you constantly have negative feelings about yourself it can significantly affect your confidence and the rest of your life. Improving your self-esteem through therapy can improve your mental health and help you to live your life to the fullest.
If you are currently experiencing domestic violence or have experienced it in the past, then you may find that it has a lasting and damaging effect on your mental health. Counselling can help you cope with the impact of those experiences and move forward with the rest of your life.
Everyone experiences stress at some point in their life, whether it’s at home, work or in education. However, if you suffer from extreme levels of stress you may find that it begins to disrupt your personal, social and professional life and cause other physical and psychological problems. Therapy can help to alleviate the negative impact of stress, making it easier to cope with everyday challenges.
Suffering a traumatic event can be difficult to put behind you. You may experience flashbacks, anxiety, depression and fear, all of which have a significant, negative impact on your life. Treatment can help you to address the issues that are holding you back.
Other Issues I Can Help with Include:
I offer both short and longer-term therapy to young people, adults and couples. Find out more about my prices and session times.
